The production team brought me along to the concert to film some behind-the-scenes footage and also to gather IRL references to help me create the entire building and the environment around it. Since the GelreDome is situated in Arnhem with a huge parking lot, I decided to stick more to the album's theme, which was circus-esque but oriented towards a love vibe rather than a typical circus show.

I was responsible for the CG stadium sequence and the modeling (asset prep) and texturing of the carousel scene in the first shot. Having seen the actual set and the color palette of the album cover, I made the GelreDome stadium more secluded and surrounded by forest, maintaining the focus on the festivity originating from the stadium.

At that time, I was studying Unreal Engine and thought it would be a great opportunity to use it for this project. PCG (procedural content generation) had recently been released, which meant I had full procedural control over creating the forest around the stadium and could easily adjust it based on the client's feedback.
